Brian C. Becker, PH.D.

The founder of Precision Economics, Dr. Brian C. Becker has served as an economic expert witness and consultant for 25 years after earning a Ph.D. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Becker has produced more than 500 economic expert reports for multinational corporations, international law firms, trade associations, and multiple government agencies around the world.  With a focus on quantitative valuations, Dr. Becker has provided testimony on recent transfer pricing and state aid matters involving Chevron, General Electric, Glaxo, Guidant (Boston Scientific), Medtronic, McKesson, Ricoh, Roche, and Teva. This experience has also included matters involving commercial damages, valuations, and international trade, with a focus in software, medical devices, financial services, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, mining and energy, and consumer products. He has provided testimony in a number of legal venues including U.S. Tax Court, The Australian Administrative Appeals Tribunal, The Federal Court of Australia, The Tax Court of Canada, The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (India), The Canadian International Trade Tribunal, and The U.S. International Trade Commission. Dr. Becker has also published approximately 25 articles, and taught Corporate Finance, Statistics, Derivative Securities, Operations Management, and Computer Applications at four universities.
