Gerard P. Cachon is the Fred Sullivan Professor at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches Operations and Information Management. Dr. Cachon's research areas include supply chain management, incentives in operations management and assortment planning. Prior to his current position at Wharton, Dr. Cachon taught at Duke University.
In addition to his teaching experience, Dr. Cachon has worked extensively in the private sector as a consultant. He has recently worked with 4R Systems, Ahold Corporation, GPlay Inc, Medtronic and O'Neill. His current projects deal with coordination issues in supply chain management, forecasting for inventory and production planning, and assortment planning.
Dr. Cachon has published dozens of articles and won numerous teaching awards throughout his career. Dr. Cachon earned both his Ph.D. and B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania
